Sodium sesquisilicate is a low-toxic drug and has irritating effects on skin and mucous membranes. If ingested, it can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Protective measures should be taken when contacting and using sodium silicate. Containers should be sealed and stored in a well-ventilated warehouse. Do not store or transport together with acids.

The main uses of sodium silicate include:

1.

Silicic acid is an important raw material for glass manufacturing and can be used as a flux and tackifier in the glass industry.

2. In the textile industry, sodium silicate is used as a flame retardant and cross-linking agent for urea resin.

3. In agriculture, it is used as an ingredient in pesticides to eliminate some pests.2818cde6910c00abdb4b1db177a080c
