Sodium silicate – Introduction
Sodium silicate （sodium silicate） is an inorganic compound with the following properties:
1. Appearance: sodium salt usually appears as white or colorless crystalline solid.
2. Solubility: It has good solubility in water and the solution is alkaline.

The main uses of sodium silicate include:

Silicic acid is an important raw material for glass manufacturing and can be used as a flux and tackifier in the glass industry.
2. In the textile industry, sodium silicate is used as a flame retardant and cross-linking agent for urea resin.
3. In agriculture, it is used as an ingredient in pesticides to eliminate some pests.
